STEM For Kids is proud to announce the Global STEM Contest, a free international competition for children ages 7-14. This exciting, hands-on contest invites young learners to collaborate on projects in biomedical engineering, data science, and AI, with the aim of solving real-world problems through STEM. Participants will gain exposure to fast-growing fields and develop vital skills for future careers.

 

“The Global STEM Contest opens doors for young people to think critically and creatively, solving real issues through teamwork and innovation. The contest is launching in collaboration with UNESCO Associated Schools Network member Al Awael Private School and UNESCO. It seeks to inspire the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers. This partnership reflects a global commitment to making STEM education accessible and impactful for all.

The Global STEM Contest is a dynamic competition designed to inspire and challenge participants by bringing STEM learning to life through projects that showcase creativity, practicality, and problem-solving. Learners will explore exciting career paths of Biomedical Engineering and Data Science / Artificial Intelligence. It is free for all to join. Winners gain international recognition and accolades.

 

How the Global STEM Contest Works: The competition kicks off with a webinar on December 4, 2024, providing resources and guidance to help participants start their journey. Each team, composed of 2-4 students, will create projects using affordable materials, promoting sustainability and accessibility in STEM learning. Students will have until April 30, 2025, to submit their entries, which will be evaluated on creativity, problem-solving, and real-world application. Winners will receive international recognition in August 2025.
