New Curriculum Release: Biomedical Engineering Organ Systems I
STEM For Kids’ innovative portfolio for children’s education enrichment expands to include Biomedical Engineering.
Morrisville, NC 6/12/17 –
“I enjoyed the leg prosthetic a lot. I was able to build my own leg!”, said Riley about his experience with STEM For Kids Biomedical Engineering Camp.
Utilizing the innovative STEM For Kids WayTM of taking complex real life applications and making them a child’s play, the STEM For Kids team has devised a program that delves into the human body bridging two classic industries: health and mechanical engineering.
The program “hits the funny bone” and gets children acquainted with the lean, mean fighting machine! Engineering Design Challenges get children on their feet exploring joints, fractures, bones and muscles. Participants design their own hinge, ball and socket, and hydraulic prosthetics.
Describing her child’s experience with the biomedical camp, a mom who works in the health industry said “My sixth grader is an avid gamer, programmer and loves robotics, so I was unsure how he would feel about the Biomedical engineering course, but he loved it! After each class, he couldn’t wait to show me what he made and how it worked. He has added each creation to his special collection of items he is most proud of on his dresser. Thank you STEM For Kids for providing courses that stimulate and educate children – and even get them away from the screens from time to time”.
Your children can experience Biomedical Engineering-Organ Systems this summer exclusively at STEM For Kids locations in North Carolina, Washington, Wisconsin, Texas and Florida.
“It is super fun because we make a lot and move a lot”, a fifth grade participant.
With the broadest array of engineering, computer programming and advanced manufacturing programs for children in preK-8, STEM For Kids is making Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fun and real around the world.
