Computer Science Professional Prepares To Provide Coding and Engineering Camps and Classes in Dallas Suburbs

Morrisville, NC and Frisco, Texas 10/1/18 –

“When I first heard of STEM for Kids Franchise opportunity, I was very thrilled (almost felt unbelievable) to have coPreetiMekala-STEMForKids-Texas-Frisco-Plano-Allen-Dallas-Suburbsme across a concept that exactly fit my passion, desire, skillset and interest”, says Preeti Mekala, a computer software professional and STEM For Kids franchisee in Texas Frisco area.

Preeti, a mother of three toddler girls, had been searching for the best educational opportunities for her little girls and loved the idea of helping other children in that process. Her search spanned franchise opportunities in various industries with a Business Alliance Inc (BAI) consultant to fit her skills, goals and budget needs.

“Once we made the choice to explore children’s education franchises and STEM for Kids, we were all sure we had made the right choice. The STEM process was simple and easy to follow and [the STEM team] was extremely accommodating in working with these brand-new business owners.  I know that Preeti and Prithvi will be great additions to the STEM family”, said Mike, BAI Affiliate.

Preeti has been an active contributor in the STEM industry with 20+ years of professional experience in technology, engineering and software development in various corporate sectors.

Preeti’s professional life began with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Robotics, Lathe Machines and Drill-Bits. Her first opportunity was to be part of a manufacturing automation project where she designed and created high tech robots to improve day-to-day machining processes and workflows. The outcome of that project was later adopted as a standard in other companies in transportation, aerospace, medical, defense and energy industries.

Robotics introduced Preeti to programming. As her interest developed, Preeti pursued a Master’s in Computer Science and decided to serve IT industry with full life cycle application development and implementations. Throughout her career, Preeti has demonstrated great technical capabilities in assessing, designing, architecting and delivering enterprise IT solutions to simplify and automate processes and produce cost/labor efficiencies through software automations and applications.

“Since early on, I was raised very independent and always had a vision of myself being a successful entrepreneur. At the same time, serving and contributing back to the future of the communities was very important on my mind”.

“I believe that STEM exposure can have enormous impact in shaping an individual which enables them to differentiate themselves in heavily competitive industrial careers and showcase their skillsets in whichever areas they ultimately pursue”, says Preeti.

Preeti firmly believes that nurturing one’s interest in technical/engineering fields should begin at very early age. So, she was trying to find the best STEM programs available for her kids.

“With no luck and hitting the dead end every time for the last couple of years, I was contemplating on building my own STEM curriculum and training sessions to benefit my kids as well as other kids in the neighborhood. That’s when I learned about STEM For Kids. Took no time to realize that this was the best solution for many things I was trying in many years. Definitely the right choice for me, my family and kids and most importantly, our community”
