Educator of 9 Years is Bringing STEM to Mobile, Alabama!

After 9 years of making her mark in Elementary and STEM / STEAM Education, Ashton Crist took it upon herself to search for an opportunity of a lifetime. Ashton was given the opportunity to implement STEM in her new school after 4 years of teaching, and she instantly fell in love with it! With this new found passion, she pursued a Master’s degree from Clemson University in Teaching and Learning with a STEAM Certification.

“My favorite part of STEM is, when students create their first product, and it fails because they are quick to respond with a way to improve their product based on what they learned. Then, when they redesign and have success, the excitement in their eyes and on their faces is what keeps me wanting to lead more and more STEM classes so that children can find their passion!” Ashton explained.

Ashton knew there was a void to be filled in her community regarding STEM enrichment opportunities for children. With her passion, she searched for an opportunity she could not resist.

“Finding my passion has led me to become a franchisee for STEM For Kids. I knew STEM For Kids was for me after my initial meeting!
