Morning Campers will spend time learning the essential parts to designing a fun computer game. Kodu Game Lab is a 3D game development environment that is designed to teach kids basic programming principles. Kodu allows creators to build the world's terrain, populate it with characters and props, and then program their behaviors and games rules in a bespoke visual programming language. Older campers will have the option to build a game on an all-time favorite game platform, Roblox. We will utilize Roblox Studio to facilitate the game development from building the 3D environment, to creating characters, and coding the rules of the game. The afternoon will bring together two top interests in collaborate them to make epic games with robots and Scratch coding. Participants will design a game on SCRATCH that will interact either with a WeDo 2.0 or Mindstorm Robot. The robot will be an integral part of the game designed as either a controller, a player in the game, or a robot that is interactive.
